Summer Mint

In the little patch of grass between the garage and the house, a mess of mint has run wild!  Later this summer I'm planning on digging it out so I thought I'd save a little for any one who wants some.  This little guy was only about 2 inches tall when I potted it!  I love turning it around everyday and watching it stretch towards the sunlight.

This is some Lime Mint that we bought at Jolly Lane Greenhouse.
Undoubtedly the best greenhouse here in Rapid City.

Don't Miss

Jones in his upcoming 3D movie!  Shrek 4

 as Puss 'n Boots

Don't Give Jeremy the Camera

but unfortunately I was  not there . . .
This was before we won the Cup, I've just been a slacker on uploading photos.  After we won the second series in Texas, fans could welcome the boys back at the airport when they arrived home.  I had to work, but Jeremy and Ryan got to attend.  Here's some extraordinary camera work by my lovable husband.

Don't lose your Marbles!

There's a customer at the donut shop who makes these awesome vintage marble necklaces.  Here's her Etsy Shop.

Rush for the Cup

What a nail biter!!  We were down 3-0 until the end of the 2nd period, we finally scored one goal.  Then in the last 3 minutes of the game the boys pulled it out and tied it 3-3, forcing the game into over time.  With everyone on the edge of their seats we went through one OT with no score.  So we sit through a SECOND OT! Finally we score the game winner with 30 seconds left!  Holy Crab!  Everyone was jumping and screaming; I thought the stadium was going to fall down!  But we got the cup!  GO RUSH!!

Bye Bye Birdie

*Not for Adeline Eyes*

Mom and Dad hit a pheasant on the way out to see us.
Poor guy never stood a chance.  Apparently, neither did the bumper.

It's just like Philly!

We've been making fun of the Philly Ted's commercials for awhile now. The very purpose of commercials is to persuade the public to buy what you're selling however, the ads for Philly Ted's are so annoyingly kitschy they actually made most people we know do the opposite.  (By the way: the ad on the web site is nothing like the ads they air on TV.)  So this weekend when Mom and Dad were out (very graciously helping me with my landscaping projects) we stopped at the cheese-steak shop and had lunch.  Most of the sandwiches were named after sports teams (mostly football, but it was nice to see the local teams getting some love too, GO RUSH!) and the signs hung on the walls mimicked the aforementioned kitsch with sayings like:

'Put on your big boys pants, otherwise they sell Happy Meals down the road'

and

'No shoes
No shirt
*No pants
No service
*it depends'

Surprisingly,  it's the only place I have ever seen Cheese Whiz on the menu. Not having been to Philly myself, I'll just have to take their word for it and say "Just like Philly!"  Besides being monstrous, they were pretty good.

Happy Birthday to me

Very awesome purse my sister made for me.
